Only a week to go and here are two interesting players to look at both from UCLA and both coming off injuries.
The first, is Takkarist McKinley who if he falls to 28 may be too good to pass up. Prior to the injury, he’d be a pretty good lock for top 15 players off the board. He played most of last season with a shoulder injury, he claims he wasn’t aware of. He’s coming off a big senior season where he was credited with 18 tackles for a loss and 10 sacks. Those were both big increases from his prior years. Following surgery, its estimated that he’d miss the first 6 weeks of the season. The Cowboys having lost numerous defensive starters need replacements that can start on day one! That being said, all depends who’s there when their turn comes up. It may become a player that can’t pass on, we’ll see. Young man is fast, posting a 4.59 for the forty! DE, 4.59, that’s a big time motor. Anyone up for, Dak & Takk?
The next player worthy of consideration is Fabian Moreau but as noted, he too has had recent surgery. On his pro day at UCLA he tore a pectoral muscle and he will be out at least 6 months for such injury. He was considered a late 1st rounder, that probably doesn’t last all that long. Posted a 4.35 for the forty! As you can see in the video below he can break quickly on the ball. Again do they consider him despite the injury and delay to his starting the season. If not for the loss of starters on defense, Fabian could be a nice pick.
Both of these players have been in as part of the 30 visits, so they are definitely on the teams radar.
